Botox and Cosmetic Injectables in Waterloo Region
Rested, refreshed, and unmistakably yourself.
Bonita Medical Aesthetics is a nurse practitioner led clinic in St. Jacobs, Ontario, offering Botox and other wrinkle relaxant injections to patients across Waterloo Region. Every treatment is assessed and injected by Jessica Caceres, NP, at $9.50 per unit, and most first appointments run 20 to 40 units.
Most people think about Botox and injectables for about a year before they book a consultation, and for good reason. It can be confusing and overwhelming, and pricing is rarely transparent, so it's hard to know what you're walking into.
So here is what everything costs.
WRINKLE RELAXANTS
What it costs here.
At Bonita, Botox is $9.50 a unit. No intro rate, no package pricing, and the price doesn't change depending on which product we use.
| Area | Typical units | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Frown lines, the 11s | 15–20 | $142.50–$190 |
| Forehead | 8–12 | $76–$114 |
| Crow's feet | 6–12 per eye | $114–$228 for both |
| Masseter, jaw | 15–25 per side | $270–$450 at $9 a unit |
Those are averages and your assessment sets the real number, because a strong frown pattern needs more than a light one. Most people treat one or two areas to start, so $190 to $380. All three upper face areas together runs $332.50 to $532.
We carry Botox, Dysport and Xeomin. They're prescription medications, so every treatment starts with an assessment.
Across Waterloo Region, Botox generally runs between $9.50 and $14 a unit.
The consultation is $50 and comes off your treatment, same day or when you decide to move forward. If a two week follow-up is needed, it's complimentary, and if you need a few more units you pay for the units only.
Who is holding the needle.
Every injection at Bonita is assessed and performed by Jessica Caceres, Nurse Practitioner, in the room with you from start to finish.
That matters more than it sounds like it should. Wrinkle relaxants work by softening the pull of specific muscles, and faces are not standardized, so the same dose placed the same way produces very different results on two different people. What you are paying for is the assessment, the read on how your muscles actually move, and the judgment about where to place product and where to leave it alone.
Bonita has been nurse practitioner led since 2017, and we were the first NP-led medical aesthetics clinic in Waterloo Region.
What results look like.
The goal is that you look like you had a good stretch of sleep, not that you look treated.
Aging is not a problem we are solving here. Skin changes, muscle patterns settle in over decades, and that is all normal and none of it needs correcting. What treatment can do is soften a line that has started to sit at rest, so your face reads the way you feel rather than looking tired or tense when you are neither.
We would rather start conservative and have you come back in two weeks for a top-up than overshoot and have you wait three months for it to wear off. If you want more movement softened after your two week check, we add. That is a much easier conversation than the other direction.

Results start to show within three to seven days depending on which product we use, and the full effect is there by about 14 days.

DERMAL FILLER
Dermal fillers are used to instantly replace or add volume to specific areas of your face to enhance your natural features.
Our Restylane® and Ravanesse Dermal Fillers help to hydrate and replace volume in the dermis (the second layer of the skin). By replacing the volume that is lost over time, the skin appears more youthful and fresh.
Dermal filler at Bonita is $600 per syringe, for all treatment areas.

This treatment typically lasts anywhere between 4-18 months, depending on the area treated.
SCULPTRA
Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler biostimulant used to treat fine lines and wrinkles and to stimulate collagen production. Sculptra activates your skin’s natural power to revitalize collagen production for a more youthful appearance, adding fullness to the face, temples, and jawline.
Sculptra at Bonita is $800 per session, with most treatment plans involving about three sessions over a few months.

Sculptra works with your body to stimulate collagen production lost to aging, rebuilding, and reinforcing your skin’s structural foundation. Through a series of treatments, typically about three sessions over a few months, ...it restores the support and volume of youthful-looking skin, providing results that can last up to two years.
SKINBOOSTERS
Restylane Skinboosters, Vital and Vital Light, are used to correct fine lines in the lower face, neck and hands.
This treatment requires 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, and then a booster every 6-8 months thereafter (which consists of 1 treatment only).
Skinboosters at Bonita are $600 per treatment, same as dermal filler.
VITAMIN INJECTIONS
Vitamin B12 or Lipotropic (B complex - fat loss) injections, typically injected once monthly. Great for individuals with vitamin deficiencies causing fatigue, low energy, difficulty concentrating, and low metabolism. Injected into the arm or buttock area.
Note: Patients suffering from an active infection, cancer, or other autoimmune disorders are contraindicated for this treatment.
Vitamin injections at Bonita are $40 per injection.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
We offer a full range of cosmetic injectables. Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) cover wrinkle relaxation, masseter treatment for jaw slimming and clenching, and therapeutic uses like hyperhidrosis. We also offer dermal fillers for volume restoration and contouring, Skinboosters for deep skin hydration, and vitamin injections. Every injectable treatment at Bonita is performed by Jessica Caceres, NP.
-
Yes. In Ontario, Nurse Practitioners are regulated by the College of Nurses of Ontario and have an extended scope of practice that includes prescribing, diagnosing, and performing cosmetic procedures such as injectables. Every injection at Bonita is performed by Jessica Caceres, who has been injecting since 2017 and holds advanced training in injection technique and facial anatomy. Having a regulated NP perform your injectables means you have a clinician who can assess your full health picture. We look at far more than just your face.
-
Ask who is injecting and their credential, how many units they recommend and why, what product they use, and whether they will review your medical history. A good clinic welcomes every one of these questions.
-
This concern is at the centre of why Bonita exists. Our philosophy is enhancement, not transformation. The goal is always that you look like yourself: rested, refreshed, and well. We use conservative volumes, anatomically guided technique, and a bias toward under-treating. We would rather you come back for more than leave looking like you had something done.
-
Botox at Bonita is $9.50 per unit. Most first treatments use 20 to 40 units, so a first visit is often about $190 to $380. Masseter injections are $9 per unit. We confirm your unit count before we start, so there are no surprises.
-
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are neuromodulators that temporarily relax the muscles causing dynamic wrinkles, including frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet. Dermal fillers are gel-based, usually hyaluronic acid, and add volume where the face has lost it, or smooth deeper lines that are present even at rest. Most people benefit from both, though not always at the same time. A consultation helps us identify which combination will give you the most natural result.
-
Neuromodulators generally last 3 to 5 months, depending on the area treated and your individual metabolism. Dermal fillers vary by product and area: lip filler typically lasts 6 to 9 months, while cheek and jawline filler can last 12 to 18 months or longer. Skinboosters are recommended in a series with maintenance sessions every 6 months. We will give you a realistic timeline at your consultation.
-
Most clients find injectables more comfortable than they expect. Neuromodulators are administered with very fine needles and are typically described as a brief pinch. Dermal fillers take a little longer and can involve mild pressure at certain injection points, but most products contain a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) that improves comfort as the treatment progresses. We work at your pace and never rush the appointment.
-
Before your appointment, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, including aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol, for 48 to 72 hours where possible, as these can increase bruising. After injectables, avoid strenuous exercise, lying face-down, and direct heat (sauna, hot yoga) for 24 hours. We provide a full aftercare guide at every appointment and are available by phone or email if you have questions afterward.
-
Yes. There are no contraindications between cosmetic injectables and hormone therapy. Many of our patients pursue both, because hormonal changes affect the skin from the inside while injectables address them from the outside. Jessica manages both at Bonita, which means your care is coordinated by one clinician who understands your whole picture.
-
No. Cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers, are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is a standard safety precaution. We are always happy to help you plan your treatments around these stages of life and will welcome you back when the time is right.
