LASER & INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL) TREATMENTS

We offer a wide range of energy-based treatments including laser hair removal, IPL (intense pulsed light) for sun damage and redness, eCO2 fractional laser resurfacing for skin texture and tone, PicoSure Pro for pigmentation and tattoo removal, and vascular treatments for rosacea and broken capillaries. Our laser treatments are performed by our trained aestheticians and overseen by Jessica Caceres, NP.

Laser treatments use a single, concentrated wavelength of light that is highly targeted to a specific concern, making them precise and effective for hair removal, pigmentation, and resurfacing. IPL (intense pulsed light) uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths, making it well suited for treating multiple concerns at once, such as redness, sun damage, and uneven tone. During your consultation we will recommend the right technology for your skin concern and skin type.

Laser hair removal provides long-term reduction in hair growth, and for many people the results are permanent in treated areas. Most clients require 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart to achieve optimal results, as hair follicles are only responsive to laser during the active growth phase. Hormonal changes, such as those during perimenopause, can occasionally stimulate new hair growth in treated areas, and a maintenance session may be needed. We will give you an honest assessment of what to expect at your consultation.

Most clients describe laser hair removal as a snapping or mild stinging sensation, uncomfortable but very manageable. eCO2 resurfacing involves more sensation and we apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to keep you comfortable. IPL is generally well tolerated with minimal discomfort. We always adjust settings based on your skin's response and your comfort level.

This depends entirely on the treatment and the concern being addressed. Laser hair removal typically requires 6 to 8 sessions. IPL for sun damage and redness may show results in 1 to 3 sessions. eCO2 resurfacing can deliver significant improvement in a single session, with results continuing to develop over 3 to 6 months. We will give you a clear treatment plan at your consultation so there are no surprises.

Not every laser is appropriate for every skin type, which is why a thorough consultation is essential. Certain lasers and IPL devices carry a higher risk of pigmentation changes on deeper skin tones, and we select technology and settings carefully based on your Fitzpatrick skin type. We use advanced platforms including Lutronic technologies, which offer a range of settings to treat diverse skin safely and effectively.

Downtime varies by treatment. Laser hair removal and IPL have minimal downtime. Some redness for a few hours is typical. eCO2 fractional resurfacing involves a more significant recovery: expect redness, swelling, and peeling for 5 to 7 days, with skin sensitivity for up to 2 weeks. We provide detailed aftercare instructions for every treatment and are available to answer questions during your recovery.

Hormone therapy is not a contraindication for most laser treatments, though hormonal changes can affect results for hair removal. Laser treatments are not recommended during pregnancy.
