SKIN STRENGTH
Thinning & Saggy Skin Treatment in Waterloo Region
If your skin feels less firm or elastic than it used to, professional treatments can help restore strength, resilience, and confidence.
IT IS NOT JUST AGE
You Lose Up to 30 Percent of Your Collagen in Five Years
That is what happens after menopause. Declining estrogen slows collagen production sharply, and most of the loss lands in the first five years. Which is why skin can seem to change almost overnight in your late forties when it had been steady for a decade.
Treating it from the outside works. Collagen-stimulating treatment rebuilds structure, and fillers restore the volume that holds skin lifted rather than stretching it.
But if the cause is hormonal, treating only the outside means working against something you could also treat directly. Jessica Caceres, Nurse Practitioner manages hormone therapy and skin treatment in the same clinic, so you are not choosing between them or explaining your skin to someone who does not handle your hormones.
WHERE IT SHOWS FIRST
Jawline, Neck, and the Skin Under Your Eyes
Laxity does not arrive evenly. Most people notice it first along the jawline, where the edge softens, and on the neck, where skin thins and creases hold. Under the eyes and across the cheeks it reads as hollowing rather than sagging, because volume loss is doing as much of the work as elasticity.
Which of those you are dealing with changes what we recommend. Thin, crepey skin responds to collagen stimulation. Hollowing responds to volume. Getting that wrong means paying for a treatment that was never going to address what was bothering you.

THE APPROACH
Support for Structure and Elasticity
Our approach focuses on stimulating natural collagen production, improving tone, and strengthening skin support. Treatments are tailored to your goals and comfort level.
YOUR OPTIONS
Targeted Treatments for Firmness, Structure, and Support
-
Our most-recommended treatment for laxity. Microneedling combined with radiofrequency energy delivered into the deeper layers of skin, prompting collagen and elastin remodelling where the structure has weakened. Depth and energy are adjusted to the area, and it can be used on the face, neck and décolletage.
What This Gives You:
Improved firmness along the jawline and neck
Smoother, less crepey texture
Stronger collagen structure over time
-
Fractional resurfacing that works at depth to prompt collagen remodelling, improving texture, fine lines and skin quality alongside firmness. More downtime than Potenza, and correspondingly more change per session.
What This Gives You:
Improved texture and fine lines
Collagen remodelling at depth
Noticeable change from fewer sessions
-
Where sagging is driven by lost volume rather than lost elasticity, filler restores the underlying structure that holds skin lifted. Placed by Jessica Caceres, Nurse Practitioner, working from facial anatomy rather than filling lines.
What this gives you:
Restored structure along cheeks and jaw
Lift without stretching or pulling
Immediate results

We Will Tell You When It Is Not Worth It
Your treatments are performed by our medical aestheticians under the oversight of Jessica Caceres, Nurse Practitioner. Body treatments are the easiest place in aesthetics to oversell, so we would rather turn down a series than take your money for a result we do not think you will get.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
As we age, the body produces less collagen and elastin, the structural proteins that keep skin firm, plump, and resilient. This process accelerates significantly during perimenopause and menopause, when declining estrogen reduces collagen production by up to 30 percent in the first five years after menopause. The result is skin that appears thinner, looser, and less able to bounce back. Gravity, sun exposure, and lifestyle factors also contribute to how quickly these changes occur.

We use Potenza RF microneedling to stimulate collagen and tighten laxity on the face, neck and décolletage, and eCO2 fractional resurfacing where texture and fine lines are part of the picture. Where sagging is driven by volume loss rather than elasticity, dermal fillers placed by Jessica Caceres, NP restore the structure that holds skin lifted. We will recommend the right combination at your consultation.
-
Yes, in many cases. Volume loss is a significant driver of sagging and hollowing in the face. Strategically placed dermal fillers can restore the underlying structure that keeps skin lifted, without stretching or pulling. This is a very different approach from simply filling lines, and requires an experienced injector with a strong understanding of facial anatomy. Jessica Caceres, NP takes a whole-face, anatomically informed approach to every injectable treatment.
-
This depends on the degree of laxity and the treatment approach. RF microneedling protocols typically involve a series of 3 to 6 sessions, with results continuing to improve over 3 to 6 months as collagen is remodelled. Dermal fillers produce more immediate results. We will give you a realistic treatment plan at your consultation.
-
There is no single right answer. Many clients find that starting earlier with preventive collagen-stimulating treatments produces the best long-term results. If you are in your late 30s or 40s and noticing the early signs of laxity, now is an excellent time to begin. That said, significant improvements are achievable at any age. A consultation with our team will help you understand what is realistic for your skin and your goals.
-
Yes, and this combination is often particularly effective. Hormone therapy supports collagen production from the inside, while skin tightening treatments stimulate it from the outside. Many of our clients pursue both and find the results are more sustained than either approach alone. Jessica manages both at Bonita, which means your care is integrated and coordinated.
