We use PicoSure Pro, one of the most advanced picosecond laser platforms available for tattoo and permanent makeup removal. PicoSure Pro delivers ultra-short bursts of laser energy that shatter ink particles into tiny fragments, which the body then naturally clears through the lymphatic system. It is effective across a broad range of ink colours and works well for both professional and amateur tattoos.

The number of sessions varies depending on the size, age, colour, and depth of the tattoo, as well as your skin type and immune function. On average, professional tattoos require 6 to 10 sessions or more, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart to allow your body to clear the broken-down ink between sessions. Older tattoos and those with simpler colour palettes often respond more quickly. We will give you an honest estimate at your consultation.

Most clients describe the sensation as similar to having the tattoo applied, or like a rubber band snapping against the skin. We apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to reduce discomfort, and cooling is used during the session. The treatment is fast, and most clients find it very manageable.

PicoSure Pro is highly effective across a wide range of colours, including black, blue, green, and red inks. Some colours, particularly yellow, orange, and white, are more resistant and may require additional sessions or may not fully clear. We will assess your tattoo at your consultation and give you a realistic picture of how it is likely to respond to treatment.

Yes. Permanent makeup removal requires a careful and precise approach, as the pigments used in cosmetic tattooing can behave differently from traditional tattoo inks. Some pigments contain iron oxide, which can oxidize and darken temporarily when exposed to laser. We assess permanent makeup carefully before treatment and take a conservative, staged approach to ensure the best and safest outcome.

After treatment, the area will be red and may swell or blister slightly. This is normal. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, including keeping the area clean and protected, avoiding sun exposure, and not picking at any blistering. Following aftercare instructions carefully significantly affects how well your body clears the ink between sessions.

For most tattoos, significant fading or full clearance is achievable with a complete series of treatments. However, we will always be honest with you about what is realistic for your specific tattoo. Factors such as the density of ink, the depth of application, and the colours used all affect the final outcome. Our goal is to give you the best possible result safely and transparently.
